Job Summary
• ICC-Kajima is seeking to fill the position of Senior Asset Manager (Hospitality Sector) within the Ho Chi Minh City Office. The Senior Asset Manager’s primary responsibility will be acting as the owner representative for Indochina Kajima’s (ICCK) rapidly growing hospitality division which includes the roll out of Wink Hotels (a nationwide urban hotel chain with 4 operating hotels and 3 hotels under construction) and Mandarin Oriental, Bai Nom (an ultra-luxury resort and residences project situated in Phu Yen Province, Vietnam). The candidate is expected to be an experienced hospitality professional preferably with experience in SEA and/or Vietnam. The candidate must possess excellent management and interpersonal skills, financial literacy (P/L management), asset monitoring and reporting skills, in-depth operational know-how and a relentless approach to driving business performance and increasing profitability. The Senior Asset Manager will be required to report directly to the General Director and will have responsibilities to update ICCK’s management team on a regular basis and the BOD of ICCK on a quarterly basis.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for portfolio management of ICCK’s hospitality projects by understanding local and global market trends and developing strategies to drive asset operating performance and increase asset values.
• Oversee, manage and support the operational management team at Wink Hotels to drive hotel performance, manage cost, and optimize profitability.
• During the operation period, act as the owner’s representative and key liaison with third party operators including Mandarin Oriental.
• Responsible for monitoring asset performance. Develop and review strategies and make changes to existing operational plans to enhance asset performance and determine areas for improvement.
• Attend monthly P/L meetings with the operations team managing the portfolio and provide valuable insights and inputs to drive performance.
• Provide regular updates to ICCK’s management team and attend quarterly BOD meetings to report asset performance at the portfolio and individual asset level.
• Risk management – assess and identify market trends, internal or external influences which may affect the assets and identify strategies to navigate these potential risks.
• ICCK’s hospitality platform is nationwide, therefore, the candidate must be willing and able to travel throughout Vietnam when required.
• Other tasks as assigned by the General Director, ICCK’s management team, and the BOD.
